THE FOODIE INVENTORS
(NPD & Process)
Our NPD & Process team has the important task of inventing amazing products and then scaling up our new ideas onto the production line.
Emma came to Food Utopia for work experience during her degree. She graduated from Oxford Brookes in 2016 with a degree in nutrition and returned back to Food Utopia to begin her professional career as a Development Technologist.

LOOKING AFTER OUR CUSTOMERS
Our Commercial experts work to support the development of New Products and make sure our customers are looked after. Our commercial team also look at what’s happening in the world of food by monitoring and tracking the latest food trends.
Ben first joined the business when it was Northern Foods as a graduate in 2008 and has remained at the Corby site ever since climbing the career ladder from Commercial Exec to Commercial Manager. During his development he spent 18 months in secondment roles based at our customers Head Office supporting their buying & merchandising teams.

THE DEAL MAKERS
Our Procurement team is responsible for purchasing everything we need to operate successfully. We work with a large network of suppliers covering commodities and services including ingredients, packaging and consumables.
Connor joined us in May 2017 as our Buyer, he enjoys the fast paced environment and working with his colleagues to deliver value and innovation to our customers.

THE QUALITY KEEPERS
We rely on our Technical team to ensure 100% compliance with food legislation and regulations. Working closely with customers and our ingredient suppliers they make sure that we maintain our high standards & level of quality whilst constantly looking to improve processes and procedures.
Nike is one of our newest recruits! She joined us in May 2017 as Technical Manager. She is an expert in her field and drives our standards of excellence and product safety. She has a great passion for the food industry with a particular interest in Ready to Eat products.

THE MOVERS & MAKERS
(Supply Chain & Operations)
Operations is at the heart of the business and is where we manufacture our great tasting, great quality products! Along with the supply chain team it is their responsibility to provide cost-effective supply chain solutions and ensure industry leading service levels that continually meet and exceed our customer expectations.
Valetim is our go to guy and has been working at the Corby site since 2009! He holds the site together by making sure we have all the things needed to keep the factory running smoothly and efficiently.

THE BEAN COUNTERS
Our Finance team are responsible for everything money, from paying invoices to Budget planning and business forecasting!
Graham, our Management Accountant supervises the day to day financial controls within the business , He has been with us since the start and he provides our exec team with all the strategic information they need to make us financially successful!

Our multi-skilled engineers are on hand to keep our factory manufacturing to its full potential.
James started his career with us as an Engineer, he then progressed into a project manager role before becoming our maintenance manager. James's daily activities can include anything from attending machinery breakdowns and conducting a fault diagnosis and repair, to proactively carrying out preventative maintenance. James is a "Corby Boy" born and bred and keeps his team up and running on his delicious homemade Indian Curries!

Our people are our greatest asset! Our HR Team is here to take good care of our people, help them reach their full potential and to create a safe and happy working environment for them.
Suzanne, our Head of HR joined us at the beginning of 2017 and has been specifically recruited to drive HR culture, projects and leadership within the business as well as delivering the extensive recruitment programme currently in place to help with our growing business needs. Suzanne has worked within the food industry for a number of years and enjoys inspiring change whilst keeping an eye on the commercial drivers.

Our people on the shop floor make it happen, day in day out – we couldn't make and deliver our great products without such a passionate and dedicated workforce.
We recognise that our people are the fundamental backbone of our business. Their knowledge, talent and motivation produce the fantastic products that our customers expect. We have a varied workforce, some with years of experience and some newbies that are keen to learn and become an integral part of the Food Utopia team.
Through our extensive training programmes, we aim to equip our employees with the technical, leadership and management skills they require to be able to keep making our amazing products.

(The Cake Academy)
At The Cake Academy we’re a mixed bunch, from experienced food industry professionals to gifted amateurs who have come together to make the most delicious cakes ever!
Rebecca, Head of The Cake Academy, started making cakes as a tiny tot, perched on a chair in her mum’s kitchen - so it was no surprise when she turned her love of baking into a career in food. She’s always worked with sweet food and is in heaven now she’s running this amazing cake team!
